| Beschreibung: | Christ the Savior is the largest and most expensive Cathedral in Moscow, Russia, and it has become an unmistakable part of the cityÕs skyline. Originally built in the 19th century, the cathedral was a monument to Russia's victory over Napoleon. Stalin razed it, but was reconstructed in 1994. The cathedral rises above the Moscow River and is connected to the other side of the river by an impressive bridge (also shown in the picture). |
